The Best Kept Secret in Spruce Grove.

After 5 years at our new location in the Agrena Complex, we have made a name for ourselves. However, many people are not aware of my professional experience. Presently, I am responsible for sharpening and profiling the skates of some of the 4 time champions, Spruce Grove Junior A Saints. You can see a few Saints Players Reviews on my website— ). We also are the Official Skate Sharpeners for the Spruce Grove Regals and will be having discussions with Coach Helt for the 2016/17 Season. As a footnote, we hope that their Camp in the Fall will get a lot of interested and talented players who want to build a Championship Team.

In 2008/9 I sharpened the Chinese National Women’s Olympic Teams skates. A local Spruce Grove gentleman, Mr. Barry Medori was involved during their conditioning camp and Mr. Paul Strople was their head coach.

We rely on word-of-mouth advertising, so we would appreciate a few good words about us if you have used and liked our service in the past.

This past April (2015), I created a new Group on Facebook called “Skate Sharpening University” or, SSU. As of this update, we have 290 Members Worldwide. We share our Tips and Tricks of the Trade and expertise. Many have professional equipment manager/NHL experience and our most recent add is Per-Ake Backman—Head Equipment Manager of the Swedish National Junior Team. SSU has access to the latest and greatest information that WE can share with our Customers. SSU Members can look forward to the latest Studies on profiling and blade hollow—coming in the Summer of 2016; this is knowledge that only SSU Members have access to.

We have the data on contouring/profiling that will make a REAL difference is your skating. Visit David Carlson/Karlsson at Snipers Skate Shop @ the Stu Barnes/Grant Fuhr arenas in Spruce Grove, Alberta—just off King Street. The proper contour is as important as selecting the correct hollow for you.

You don’t need to travel out of town to get your skates sharpened or profiled: Save time and Money by visiting Snipers Skate Shop at the Stu Barnes Arena. Shop hours are listed on the above website.

Thank you for your time.

Snipers Updates: September 2015

Well, we are back in action. And we are glad to be back. Once again, I want to thank my wonderful customers/friends for their support.

We have a New Website loaded with lots of great information and reviews. Take a look when you have time

Recently, I started a new Facebook Closed Group: Skate Sharpening University. We have 109 members as of today and many of our Faculty Members have NHL and Elite Hockey Experience. We share tips and ideas and information that will make us better at what we do. Skate Sharpening is very technical, nowadays. For example, there are over 20 different hollow grinds and 40 different skate profiles that can be applied to your skates. Every skater is different and requires their own specific sharpening and profile.

I met with Mikko Kuparinen and Shayne Toporowski at the Terwilligar Recreation Centre in Edmonton and they showed me their awesome profiling system. Maybe, in the future, we will introduce it to our customers.

We lost our precious Mother on July 14th of this year ( 2015) and I miss her very much; Mom was truly my best friend and greatest, moral supporter.

Remember, you will only have one or two really good friends that you can depend on. Treat them like they are worth their weight in gold. Cheers, for now.
